About the Founder
Christian Yang 楊尚友
Christian started his cooking career as an apprentice in Kowloon Shangri-la. He went on to complete his studies at Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne and enriched his culinary knowledge by taking up work experiences with renowned restaurants in Europe. After university, he worked in F&B branding and further in Hotel Branding in Europe and Hong Kong. He then worked in the field of Hotel Development. Christian established his own restaurants Bang Bang Pan Pan, Zenku and BRASS in 2010 and his own consulting and media company in 2013.
As a Television personality, Christian is know for his extreme creativity. His method is to take a point of interest in common with the audience and this become the leaping-point for a super creative dish that the audience feels is relevant to their experiences. Most importantly, as creative as the dish can be, the audience feels like they can also cook Christian’s dish at home. All this carefully planned and designed to make cooking more fun and approachable. Christian has been involved with over 500 television episodes with Hong Kong, China and International audiences. You can find him on BBC, CNN, Asian Food Network, RTHK, TVB, ViuTV, NowTV, Discovery TLC, NatGeo, TVN (Korea), Yahoo TV.
